If you’re looking for a firm ride in a full-size American luxury car, you’ll be disappointed. Conversely, if you’re looking for a plush ride in a used car, don’t bother road testing compact sports cars. Generally speaking, the bigger and heavier the car, the softer and plusher the ride quality.  Also have your friend follow you to observe the action of the wheels, checking for excessive bounce or improper tracking.
